Shroud of Turin
Scotland’s premier copy of the Shroud of Turin has arrived at St Patrick’s and will remain for a fortnight; you’re encouraged to come and pray, bring family and friends, and promote this wonderful image of the Lord’s Passion and Resurrection. There will be a specialist talk on the Shroud on Monday 4th of March after the 5.45pm Mass and the weekly St Philip devotions (so starting at 6.30pm, for those who cannot come earlier). Teas and coffees provided by the Brothers of the Little Oratory afterwards.
The famous Oratorian Priest of Turin, Blessed Sebastian Valfrè, repaired the Shroud in 1694 and he said, “The Cross received the living Jesus and gave Him back to us dead; the Shroud received the dead Jesus and restored Him to us alive.”
